As a transition enabler, Spuerkeess plans to contribute to the national target of electrifying 49% of Luxembourg’s car fleet by 2030. Thus, since 2018, the Bank has included electric vehicles in its Lease Plus offer, and these now account for 80% of the leases taken out by the Bank's customers. This very strong interest in electric cars is partly due to the desire to "consume better and more sustainably", but is also due to our attractive Lease Plus offers. Emir Mustafic, Business Developer - Private Lease at Spuerkeess, gives us the criteria to be taken into account when buying or leasing an electric vehicle.
Real estate: Why should you take advantage of the start of 2025 to begin your real estate project?
The main things we remember about the housing sector over the past 12 months are the rise in interest rates and the fall in property prices. However, following their fall in 2024, property prices in Luxembourg have now stabilised, and the many measures designed to boost the sector have finally been extended until 1 July 2025. This is good news if you are planning to buy in the near future, as the first half of 2025 is the ideal time to get your property plans back on track.
Buying before 1 July 2025 to benefit from more advantages The measures that apply to property purchases made up to 30 June 2025 included

A brief overview of the current real estate market
Interest rates still falling
As in 2024, analysts are forecasting one or more rate cuts in 2025. That's why financing conditions should remain attractive in the months ahead. Isn't now the right time to take advantage of the latter?
The correction in property prices
After a fall in property prices in 2024, they have now stabilised. The housing sector therefore continues to benefit buyers, as it has for several months now.

What does the Bank look at when granting a home loan?
Many criteria are taken into account, including your ability to repay the loan, your personal contribution, your collateral, and so on. However, it is in the customer's interest for the Bank to analyse applications, while considering the customer's situation over the full term of the loan.
